La Hora del Reloj

Diego miró su reloj en la cocina y vio que estaba detenido. “Qué raro,” pensó. Siempre lo usaba para saber cuándo salir al trabajo.

Tomó su teléfono y vio que ya era tarde. “¡Tengo que correr!” dijo.

Se vistió rápido y salió de casa. En el ascensor, su vecina Laura le dijo: “¿Vas con prisa hoy?”

“El reloj se paró,” explicó Diego. “No me di cuenta de la hora.”

Laura sonrió. “Tengo un reloj extra. Si quieres, puedo dártelo.”

“¿De verdad? ¡Gracias!” dijo Diego.

Esa noche, Laura tocó su puerta con un reloj pequeño pero bonito. Diego lo colgó en la cocina y se sintió muy agradecido por tener vecinos tan amables.

The Clock Time

Diego looked at his kitchen clock and saw that it had stopped. “How strange,” he thought. He always used it to know when to leave for work.

He checked his phone and saw that he was already late. “I have to run!” he said.

He got dressed quickly and left home. In the elevator, his neighbor Laura said, “You are in a hurry today?”

“The clock stopped,” Diego explained. “I didn’t notice the time.”

Laura smiled. “I have an extra clock. If you want, I can give it to you.”

“Really? Thank you!” Diego said.

That evening, Laura knocked on his door with a small but nice clock. Diego hung it in the kitchen and felt very thankful to have such kind neighbors.
