La Carta en el Buzón

Marina bajó al portal de su edificio para revisar el buzón. Normalmente solo tenía publicidad, pero ese día vio un sobre blanco con su nombre.

“Qué sorpresa,” dijo.

Subió a su apartamento y abrió la carta. Era un mensaje corto de su amiga Sofía, que vivía en otra ciudad. Sofía había escrito: “Solo quería saludarte. Te echo de menos.”

Marina sonrió. Tomó una hoja y respondió con otra carta.

“Es bonito recibir algo así,” pensó.

Dejó su carta lista para enviarla al día siguiente, sintiéndose muy acompañada.

The Letter in the Mailbox

Marina went down to the entrance of her building to check the mailbox. She usually only had advertisements, but that day she saw a white envelope with her name.

“What a surprise,” she said.

She went back to her apartment and opened the letter. It was a short message from her friend Sofía, who lived in another city. Sofía had written: “Just wanted to say hi. I miss you.”

Marina smiled. She took a sheet of paper and wrote another letter in response.

“It’s nice to receive something like this,” she thought.

She left her letter ready to send the next day, feeling very supported.
